The Writing Centers at Morris Library and Trueblood Hall are now open for the spring semester. Morris is open during morning, afternoon, and evening hours; Trueblood is open during evening hours. The Centers also offer online, real-time tutoring as part of our Online Writing Lab (OWL), now with video and audio interfaces in addition to a white space allowing both tutor and student to view the student's essay.

The Writing Center welcomes all students. Students may visit the Centers for either single-visit or regular-weekly appointments and work with tutors at any stage of the writing process: getting started on essays, organizing and focusing ideas, developing and connecting points clearly, and using grammar and punctuation effectively. While tutors do not write or revise essays for students, they help them identify and develop strategies for solving writing problems within the students' essays.

If you wish to sign up for an OWL or in-person appointment or find out more about the Center's services, please stop by the Writing Centers at Morris or Trueblood or visit the Center's website: http://write.siu.edu. All of the services are free.
